Ingredients for Crisp Sesame Lamb Recipe

  • Boneless lamb strips 350 grams

  • Sesame seeds (til) 5 teaspoons + for garnishing

  • Rice flour 4 tablespoons

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 6 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic finely chopped 2 teaspoons

  • Fresh parsley chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 teaspoons + to deep fry

  • Bread crumbs for coating


Step 1

Take rice flour in a bowl. Add cornflour, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.

Step 2

Take lamb strips in another bowl. Add ginger, garlic, salt, crushed peppercorns and 3 teaspoons sesame seeds and mix well.

Step 3

Add flour mixture and mix well. Add parsley and mix again. Add 2 teaspoons oil and mix well. Set aside.

Step 4

Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and the remaining sesame seeds and mix well.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 6

Coat the lamb pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, dust off the excess and deep-fry in hot oil on medium heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 7

Serve hot garnished with sesame seeds.
