Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Popcorn Recipe

  • Chicken Breast cut into small dices 2

  • Mayonnaise to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 1 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Lemon zest 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Bread crumbs 1 cup

  • Mayonnaise 4 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Jalapenos chopped 1/2 tablespoon

  • Red chilli sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Oil to deep fry


Step 1

Combine chicken dices, salt, 1 tsp red chilli flakes, pepper powder, lemon juice, lemon zest and coriander powder in a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Beat egg and add. Mix well. Add breadcrumbs and mix well. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

To make mayo dip, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, jalapenos, red chilli sauce and remaining red chilli flakes in a bowl and mix well.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry chicken pieces till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Serve hot with mayo dip.
