Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Pakoda - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breast cut into thin strips 250 grams

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1/2 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves shredded 1/2 tablespoon

  • Fennel seeds (saunf) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon

  • Rice flour 2 tablespoons

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Green chutney to serve

Method

Step 1

Put chicken strips in a bowl. Add green chillies, curry leaves, fennel seeds, crushed peppercorns, salt and ginger-garlic paste and mix well.

Step 2

Add refined flour and rice flour and mix well. Set aside for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry chicken strips till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Drizzle some green chutney and serve immediately.
