Ever wondered why the phrase “say cheese” is used just before a photograph is clicked? Simply because ‘cheese’ makes one smile! Not only the word but cheese as a food makes a lot of palates happy. It is an inexpensive, versatile and nourishing food. We have our very own Indian version as well as the ones made from soy milk that are even healthier. Whichever form, this is one food that is loved by one and all!

Ingredients for Cheese Stuffed Seekh Kebabs Recipe

  • Mozzarella cheese sticks, 8 x 2 inch as required

  • Chicken mince 250 grams

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Mint leaves 1 tablespoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Chaat masala ½ teaspoon

  • Onion fried ¼ cup

  • Bread crumbs dried for coating

  • Eggs 2


Step 1

Take chicken mince in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, garam masala powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, chaat masala and fried onion and mix well.

Step 2

Grind the chicken mixture to make a smooth mixture and transfer in the same bowl.

Step 3

Divide the chicken mixture into equal portions and wrap each portion around a mozzarella cheese stick to make kebabs.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a pan.

Step 5

Spread some breadcrumbs on a plate. Break eggs in a bowl and whisk well.

Step 6

Coat each kebab with breadcrumbs, dip in egg and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 7

Insert skewers in each kebab and serve hot with mint chutney.
