Ingredients list for Banana Kheer

  • 3 medium Banana chopped
  • 750 millilitres Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Green cardamom powder
  • 3 tablespoons Raisins soaked
  • 10 Almonds chopped
  • 10 Cashewnuts chopped
  • 10 Pistachios chopped
  • a pinch Saffron (kesar)
  • 2 teaspoons Ghee

Method

  1. Heat milk in a non stick pan. Allow it to boil.
  2. Add sugar and cardamom powder, and allow the milk to simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
  3. Add bananas and cook for further five minutes. Add saffron and stir well.
  4. In another non stick pan heat ghee. Saute almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios and raisins till golden.
  5. Remove from heat and add to the banana mixture. Cook for five minutes till the milk thickens.
  6. Remove from flame.
  7. Serve hot.
