Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup whisky 
  • 8 chicken wings, halved
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons mustard paste
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Chopped chives to sprinkle

Method

  1. Take chicken wings in a bowl, add salt, crushed black peppercorns, brown sugar, garlic, mustard paste, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar and whisky and mix well. Refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chicken wings and butter and cook for 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Transfer into a plate and set aside. 
  3. Add the remaining marinade to the same pan and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked chicken wings and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Transfer into a serving plate, sprinkle chives and serve hot.
