Ingredients
- 3 nendran bananas
- 2 cups refined flour
- ¼ cup rice flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Filter coffee for serving
Method
- Take refined flour in a bowl, add rice flour, sugar, black sesame seeds, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Add 1¾ cups water and mix well to form thick batter.
- Peel the bananas and slice them vertically.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the sliced bananas in the batter, slide a few at a time, into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange the slices in a serving bowl and serve with filter coffee.
