Ghee Wala Toovar Dana

Method

  1. Put fresh pigeon peas in a pressure cooker, add turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups water and mix well. Cover the cooker and cook under pressure on medium heat cook till 4 whistles are released. 
  2. Open the cooker once the pressure has reduced completely. 
  3. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add chopped green garlic bulbs, mix well and saute till golden brown. 
  4. Add green chilli paste, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add cooked pigeon peas and mix well. 
  5. Add green garlic stalks and garam masala powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. 
  6. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
