Ever wondered why the phrase “say cheese” is used just before a photograph is clicked? Simply because ‘cheese’ makes one smile! Not only the word but cheese as a food makes a lot of palates happy. It is an inexpensive, versatile and nourishing food. We have our very own Indian version as well as the ones made from soy milk that are even healthier. Ingredients for Cream Cheese Salami Recipe

  • Cream cheese 1/2 cup

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Chicken salami slices 12

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon to garnish

  • Garlic cloves finely chopped 2-3

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespo to garnish

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh cream 1 tablespoon

  • Green olives to garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add chicken salami and cook, turning sides, till evenly golden brown on both the sides. Take the pan off the heat, transfer the salami onto a plate and set aside.

Step 2

Take cream cheese in a bowl, add crushed black peppercorns, red chilli flakes, garlic, coriander leaves, salt and cream and mix well.

Step 3

Place a portion of cream cheese mixture in the centre of each salami slice, fold into half and secure with toothpicks. Arrange them on a serving plate.

Step 4

Sprinkle dried red chilli flakes, coriander leaves and garnish with olives. Serve immediately.
