Ingredients list for Vegetable Jhalfraizee
- 2 medium Green Capsicum seeded and cubed
- 2 medium Potatoes 1/2 centimeter thick oval shaped slices
- 1 large Carrot inch pieces boiled
- 10 French beans 2 inch pieces blached
- 1/4 small Cauliflower florets blanched
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 medium Onions quartered and layers separated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder (deghi mirch)
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 Whole dry red chillies broken
- 1/2 cup Tomato puree
- 1/3 cup Tomato ketchup
- to taste Salt
- 2 inch piece Ginger cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 100 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) 2 inch long pieces
Method
- Boil all the vegetables till half done. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds and sauté till they begin to change colour. Add onions and stir. Add capsicum, potato, carrot, French beans and cauliflower.
- Toss. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, broken red chillies and toss. Add tomato puree, tomato ketchup and salt. Stir and add ginger strips, coriander leaves and toss again. Add paneer and toss lightly. Cook till the paneer pieces get heated through. Serve hot.
