Ingredients list for Vegetable Gold Coin

  • 1 medium Carrot finely chopped
  • 10-12 French Beans finely chopped
  • 1 medium Capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 Spring onions finely chopped
  • Oil 1 tablespoon + to deep fry
  • a pinch MSG
  • 1 large Potato boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 8 Bread slices
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds

Method

  1. Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan. Add carrot, French beans, capsicum, spring onions and MSG. Sauté for five minutes.
  2. Add potatoes, soy sauce, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook for five minutes more. Allow to cool.
  3. With the help of round cutters, cut the bread into small roundels.
  4. Mix refined flour, salt and pepper powder. Add half cup water to make a thick batter.
  5. Spread the vegetable mixture evenly on the bread slices.
  6. Apply the refined flour mixture on top of vegetables. Roll the pieces in sesame seeds.
  7. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the bread slices till golden brown and crisp.
  8. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
