Ingredients list for Vegetable Gold Coin
- 1 medium Carrot finely chopped
- 10-12 French Beans finely chopped
- 1 medium Capsicum finely chopped
- 2 Spring onions finely chopped
- Oil 1 tablespoon + to deep fry
- a pinch MSG
- 1 large Potato boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 8 Bread slices
- 1/2 cup Refined flour
- to taste Black pepper powder
- 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
Method
- Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan. Add carrot, French beans, capsicum, spring onions and MSG. Sauté for five minutes.
- Add potatoes, soy sauce, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook for five minutes more. Allow to cool.
- With the help of round cutters, cut the bread into small roundels.
- Mix refined flour, salt and pepper powder. Add half cup water to make a thick batter.
- Spread the vegetable mixture evenly on the bread slices.
- Apply the refined flour mixture on top of vegetables. Roll the pieces in sesame seeds.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the bread slices till golden brown and crisp.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
