Ingredients list for Tiramisu Waffle
- 2 tablespo teaspoon Coffee decoction
- 1½ cups Refined flour (maida)
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- a pinch Salt
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- ¼ cup Milk
- 1 tablespo + for greasing Melted butter
- ½ cup Mascarpone creaamcheese
- 1 cup Whipped cream
- as required Dark chocolate
- to sprinkle Chocolate sauce
- 3-4 Strawberries hulled
- for garnishing Fresh mint leaves
Method
- Preheat a waffle iron.
- Sieve together flour, ¼ cup powdered sugar, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder into a bowl and mix. Make a cavity in the centre, add eggs, vanilla essence and 2 tablespoons coffee decoction and whisk well.
- Add milk and whisk. Add butter and whisk to make a smooth batter.
- Grease the preheated waffle iron with some butter, pour a ladleful of batter and cook for 2-3 minutes or till golden from both sides. Place it on a plate. Make more waffles similarly.
- To prepare cream cheese mixture, take cream cheese, 4 tablespoons powdered sugar and ½ teaspoon coffee decoction in another bowl and whisk well. Add whipped cream and fold in well.
- Fill a piping bag fitted with a nozzle with cream cheese mixture.
- Halve the waffles. Prepare chocolate shavings with a peeler.
- Pipe out cream cheese mixture in alternate cavities of waffle halves.
- Make a design with some chocolate sauce on one side of a serving platter. Pipe some cream cheese rosettes and place the waffles on the side. Garnish with strawberries, chocolate shavings and mint leaves.
- Serve immediately.
