Ingredients 

  • 750 grams chicken cut into bite-sized pieces on the bone
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped + to garnish
  • Onion wedges to serve
  • Lemon wedges to serve

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa, add green chillies, onions, tomatoes and salt, mix and sauté till mixture softens.
  2. Add chicken pieces mix well and saute for 5-10 minutes Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cover and cook till the chicken is completely cooked.
  3. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with coriander and serve hot with onion and lemon wedges.
