By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Mar 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Underripe Mango, Sugar Cuisine Indian Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sweet Mango Chutney 900 grams Underripe Mango slightly under ripe, peeled, thinly sliced 900 grams Sugar 1-2 cloves Garlic chopped 1/2 inch pieces Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon Vinegar to taste Salt Method Heat the mango slices in a pan with small amount of water to make them soft. Add the sugar and mix well. Tie garlic, ginger, red chilli powder and garam masala powder loosely in a muslin cloth and place in the pan. Mix well and cook, on medium heat, till it reaches a jam consistency. Add vinegar, salt and cook for five minutes. Remove the spice bag, cool and store the chutney in sterilised glass bottles.
