Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Spicy Grilled Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

  • Chicken drumsticks 8-12

  • Dried red chillies 8-10

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Oil for greasing


Step 1

Make incisions on chicken drumsticks and place in a bowl. Add salt and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside.

Step 2

Grind together coriander seeds, garlic, dried red chillies and crushed peppercorns with some water to a smooth paste.

Step 3

Add this paste to the chicken, mix well and set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat oven at 180º C.

Step 5

Grease a baking tray with some oil. Place the marinated chicken drumsticks in it, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake till the chicken is fully cooked.

Step 6

Garnish with mint sprigs and serve hot with lemon slices.
