Ingredients list for Soya Chunk Pulao
- 2 cups Soya bean chunks ,soaked in warm water for 1 hour
- 1½ cups Rice soaked
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- ½ inch Cinnamon
- 4-5 Cloves
- 4-5 Black peppercorns
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
- 2 medium Onions ,finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick wok. Add cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns and bay leaves and sauté for a minute.
- Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, mix and sauté. Add onions, mix and sauté till onions turn light golden or for 2 minutes.
- Add rice, mix and sauté on high heat for a minute. Add soya chunks, mix and sauté for a minute on low heat. Add salt and mix well.
- Boil 3 cups water in the microwave.
- Add boiled water to the wok, stir to mix, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add chilli sauce, mix well, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
