Ingredients list for Singhada aur Hare Matar ki Subzi
- 20 Water Chestnuts peeled
- 1/2 cup Green Peas blanched
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Dried mango powder (amchur)
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- to taste Salt
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
Method
- Quarter the water chestnuts.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida and sauté till fragrant.
- Add water chestnuts and mix well. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, dried mango powder, coriander powder and salt and sauté for a minute.
- Add green peas, lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving plate and serve hot.
