Ingredients list for Simple Palak Dal
- 2 cups Spinach leaves (palak) shredded
- 2 cups Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) pressure cooked with a pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies chopped
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida and sauté till fragrant. Add garlic and green chillies and sauté for a minute.
- Add split green gram and mix well. Add salt and some water, mix and bring to boil.
- Add spinach, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
