Shalgam Ka Bharta Boiled and mashed shalgam cooked with other bharta ingredients By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Aug 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Turnips (shalgam), Oil Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 6 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Shalgam Ka Bharta 2 medium Turnips (shalgam) boiled and mashed 1 1/2 tablespoons Oil 10-12 cloves Garlic chopped 2 medium Onions sliced finely 1 inch Ginger chopped 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped to taste Salt 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onion and saute till light brown. Add tomatoes, ginger, red chilli powder and green chillies and saute for three to four minutes. Add shalgam and salt and mix well and cover and cook for five minutes. Add half of the coriander leaves and cook for two minutes.
