Ingredients list for Shakarkandi Chaat - SK Khazana
- 2 Medium sweet potatoes (shakarkand) peeled and cut into cubes
- 1 Large potato peeled and cut into cubes
- to deep fry Oil
- 1 tablespoon Sweet date-tamarind chutney
- 1 tablespoon Green chutney
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespo for garnish Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
- for garnish Fresh pomegranate pearls
- for garnish Ginger strips
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the potato cubes and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Deep-fry sweet potato cubes in the same oil till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Put fried potatoes and sweet potato cubes in a bowl. Add date-tamarind chutney, green chutney and mix. Add chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, green chillies, lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves, pomegranate pearls and ginger strips and serve immediately.
