Ingredients
- 3 raw bananas, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup scraped coconut
- 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon tamarind pulp
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Method
- In a grinding jar take coconut, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and tamarind. Add sufficient water and grind to a smooth paste.
- Take a nonstick pan. Add bananas, onions, ground paste, garam masala and salt. Add 1½ cup water and mix well. Now put the pan on heat.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or till the bananas are cooked.
- Add coconut oil mix and further cook for a minute.
- Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
