Ingredients list for Prawn Malai Curry

  • 8 Prawns peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Coconut Paste paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Mustard oil
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Whole garam masala
  • 4 cloves Garlic grated
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • a pinch Sugar


  1. Marinate the prawns with salt and lemon juice. Set aside for ten to fifteen minutes.
  2. Heat a non stick pan. Add oil. Add bay leaves, whole garam masala and sauté for half minute.Add garlic paste and sauté till golden brown.
  3. Add prawns and sauté for four to five minutes.
  4. Add coconut paste, milk and simmer for five to seven minutes.Add salt, sugar, and half cup of water. Simmer for five minutes. Serve hot with steamed rice.
