Ingredients list for Paneer koftas

  • 250 grams Paneer (cottage cheese), mashed
  • 2 medium Onion , finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 6 Raisins
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 1 tablespo Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Cream

Method

  1. Mix together cottage cheese, half of the onion, salt and raisins in a bowl.
  2. Grind remaining onions and tomato to a fine paste. Divide into small portions and roll into balls.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the balls on medium heat till golden brown.Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan.
  4. Add onion-tomato puree and sauté for five to six minutes.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for two minutes more.
  6. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well. Cook for one minute.
  7. Add milk and simmer for two to three minutes. Add dry fruit paste and mix well. Add fresh cream.
  8. Check the seasonings. Add the fried balls and mix.
  9. Cover with a lid and cook for three to four minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
