Ingredients
- 200 grams cottage cheese (paneer)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kadai masala
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaf (kasuri methi) powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 medium onion, cut into cubes and layers separated
- 1 small green capsicum, cut into cubes
- 1 small red capsicum, cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon fresh cream
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Ginger strips for garnish
Method
- Heat oil and butter in a non-stick pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add tomatoes and tomato puree, mix and cook till the tomato softens.
- Add kadai masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
- Add some water and mix well. Add dried fenugreek leaves powder and mix well.
- Add salt, some more water, onion, green and red capsicum, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add cream and mix well. Add cottage cheese cubes, mix and cook for a minute.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and ginger strips and serve hot.
