Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds (til)
- 1/4 cup coconut scraped
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 1/4 cup tamarind
- 2 green chillies
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1/2 cup jaggery (gur) grated
- 2 tablespoons goda masala
- Salt to taste
Method
- Roast sesame seeds and peanuts. Grind to a coarse powder. Soak tamarind in a little warm water and remove pulp.
- Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies finely. Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add asafoetida and cook for a moment.
- Add jaggery, tamarind pulp, peanut and sesame powder, coconut, green chillies, goda masala and a pinch of salt. Mix it well.
- Add half a cup of water, bring it to a boil for two to three minutes. Serve when cool.
