Pan Fried Vegetable Momos

Ingredients list for Pan Fried Vegetable Momos

  • 3 tablespoons French beans , chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Cabbage , grated
  • 3 tablespoons Carrot , grated
  • 1 cup + to dust Refined flour
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic , chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger , chopped
  • 1/4 cup Spring onion bulbs , chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Spring onion greens , chopped
  • to taste White pepper powder
  • to serve Soy-ginger sauce


  1. Take 1 cup flour in a bowl, add salt and sufficient water, mix and knead into a semi-soft dough. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for 1 hour.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add ginger and garlic, mix and saute till raw smells disappear. Add spring onion bulbs, French beans, cabbage, carrot, spring onion greens, salt and white pepper powder, mix and saute for 2-3 minutes. Transfer into a bowl and let it cool down to room temperature.
  3. Dust some dry flour on the work top, divide the dough into equal portions and roll out
    into a thin sheet. Cut into roundels with a medium sized cutter.
  4. Place some vegetable mixture in the centre of each roundel and shape them into momos.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in another non-stick pan, place the momos in it, drizzle a little
    water over them, cover and cook, turning the momos once, till they are golden.
  6. Serve hot with soy ginger sauce.
