By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Apr 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Oats, Potatoes Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Oats Tikki 1 1/2 cups Oats 4 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 large Onion finely chopped 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 2 teaspoons Chaat masala 4 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup Carrot grated 4 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) for shallow frying Oil Method Mix potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, onion, garam masala powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves, carrot and four tablespoons oats in a bowl. Add six tablespoons water to the refined flour and make a thick batter. Spread the remaining oats evenly on a plate. Divide the potato mixture into eight equal portions and shape into tikkis. Dip them in the batter and roll in oats and set aside. Heat a non-stick tawa, and shallow-fry the tikkis on medium heat, turning sides, till golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
