Ingredients list for Neer More
- 2 cups Yogurt whisked
- 8-10 Curry leaves chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger seeded and chopped finely
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Crushed ice
- 4 for garnishing Fresh red chillies
- 4 for garnishing Fresh mint sprigs
Method
- Lightly pound green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, cumin powder, asafoetida, lemon juice and salt in a mortar with a pestle.
- Take the yogurt in a bowl. Add one and a quarter cups of water and whisk till smooth. Add the pounded mixture to the yogurt and mix well.
- Add crushed ice to chill. Strain and serve in a tall stemmed glasses, garnished with a red chilli and mint sprig on each glass.
