Ingredients list for Murg Pepper
- 1 kilogram Chcicken
- 1 1/2 cups Peppercorns sliced
- 3/4 Tomatoes chopped
- 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped
- 25-30 Peppercorns
- 6-8 Cloves
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 8-10 Curry leaves optional
- 3 tablespoons Oil
Method
- Clean, wash and skin the chicken. Cut it into twelve pieces. Pound peppercorns to a coarse powder. Mix salt, pounded peppercorns and turmeric powder with the chicken pieces. Keep aside for half an hour.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add onions and cloves. Stir fry on medium heat till onions are light brown. Add garlic and cook for a minute. Add coriander powder and tomatoes. Cook till oil leaves the sides. Add marinated chicken, curry leaves and half cup water. Cook covered, stirring occasionally, till chicken is cooked.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
