Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups yogurt
- 1/2 cup carrot grated
- 1/2 cup radish grated
- 1/2 cup tomatoes chopped
- 2 green chillies
- 1 inch piece ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
- 1/2 teaspoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
- a pinch asafoetida (hing)
- 1/2 teaspoon chana dal
- 1/2 teaspoon urad dal
Method
- Squeeze the water from grated radish. Blend the green chillies & ginger in a blender.
- Now bake the grated carrot, grated radish & tomato pieces in Microwave oven for twenty seconds.
- Add yogurt, green chillies paste, ajwain, salt & coriander to the baked mixture and mix well.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing, when it starts spluttering add split bengal grams, split skinless black grams and saute for a minute.
- Add this tempering to the yogurt mixture and serve.
