Ingredients list for Mirchi Mutton
- 500 grams Boneless mutton cut into medium sized pieces
- 2-3 Banarasi red chilli pickle pieces
- 10-12 Green chillies
- 2 tablespoons Filtered mustard oil
- 6-7 Cloves
- 6 Green cardamoms
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 2 medium Onions finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Banarasi red chilli pickle masala
Method
- Heat mustard oil in a deep non-stick pan till it begins to smoke.
- Roughly chop red chilli pickle pieces.
- Reduce heat under the pan, add cloves, cardamoms, peppercorns and onions and sauté for ½ minute.
- Add mutton, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and green chillies and mix well.
- Add pickle masala and chopped pickle pieces and mix well.
- Add 2 cups water and let the mixture boil. Cover and cook on low heat till the mutton is fully cooked.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
