Ingredients list for Meethe Sevaiyan
- 1 1/2 cups Roasted vermicelli (sevaiyan)
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1/4 cup Cashewnuts halved
- 1 tablespoon Almonds slivered
- 1 tablespoon Pistachios slivered
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- A pinch + to garnish Saffron strands
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add cashewnuts, almonds and pistachios and sauté on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Add vermicelli, mix and sauté for 5 minutes. Add milk, green cardamom powder and a pinch of saffron. Mix well, cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar and sprinkle some water, mix well, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or till done.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with saffron and serve warm.
