Ingredients list for Matra Chaat - SK Khazana
- 1 cup Yellow dried peas (matra) soaked overnight
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Medium onion chopped
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Black salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried mango powder
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Drain the yellow dried peas and put into a pressure cooker, add salt, turmeric powder and 2 cups water and cook under pressure till 5 whistles are given out.
- Place the cooked peas in a bowl, add onion, green chillies, lemon juice, pepper powder, red chilli powder, black salt, dried mango powder and roasted cumin powder. Mix well.
- Transfer into 4 serving bowls, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
