Ingredients list for Masala Cheese Puri
- 100 grams Cheese grated
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon Amchur powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin powder
- to taste Salt
- to deep fr Oil
Method
- Mix together cheese, ginger-green chilli paste, asafoetida, amchur, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder in a bowl and mash well.
- Mix wheat flour, salt and enough water in another bowl and knead into a stiff dough.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls. Grease each ball with a little oil and shape into a katori.
- Stuff with cheese mixture, gather the edges and seal. Apply a little oil and roll it into a puri.
- Heat sufficient oil in a fryer, gently slide in each puri and deep fry till golden.
- Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.
