Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps tea leaves (chai patti)
  • 8 - 10 green cardamoms
  • ½ inch cinnamon stick 
  • 5 - 6 cloves
  • 5 - 6 black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
  • ½ inch ginger
  • 4 tbsps sugar 
  • 1 cup milk

Method

  1. Take mixer jar add green cardamom, cinnamon, fennel seed, black peppercorn, cloves, And blend into fine powder. Keep aside.
  2. Crush ginger in motor pestle
  3. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a deep pan. Add the tea leaves and crushed ginger and mix well. Add sugar and 1 tsp of the blended powder and mix well. Bring this to a boil.
  4. Add milk, mix and let the tea come to a boil.
  5. Strain the tea into serving glasses and serve hot.
