Ingredients list for Masala Chaas
- 2 cups Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 cup Mint leaves
- 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves
- 1 Green chilli
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- to taste Black salt (kala namak)
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan. Dry roast cumin seeds till fragrant.
- Transfer the roasted cumin seeds into a mortar and crush them with pastel.
- Grind together mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilli, roughly chopped ginger and 2-3 tablespoons yogurt into a fine paste.
- Add remaining yogurt and black salt and grind again. Add roasted cumin powder and blend well.
- Serve chilled garnished with roasted cumin powder.
