Ingredients list for Mangshor Curry
- 400 grams Mutton
- 4-6 medium Potatoes
- 6 tablespoons Ghee
- 4 medium Onions,sliced
- 2 teaspoons Ginger paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
Method
- Cut mutton into one inch pieces. Cut potatoes into one inch cubes. Heat ghee in a kadai, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Sauté for a minute. Add mutton. Cover and cook for five to ten minutes
- Remove the cover and stir fry on a high heat till all the moisture is absorbed. Add three cups of water. When the water comes to a boil reduce the heat. Add potatoes and sugar, cover and cook for thirty to thirty five minutes or till potatoes and mutton are cooked.
- Add salt and mix well. Serve hot with rice or luchi or porotha.
