Ingredients for MACARONI UPMA -skk Recipe

  • Macaroni pasta boiled 2 cups

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Split skinless black grams (dhuli urad dal) 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Medium tomato finely chopped 1

  • Green peas blanched 1/2 cup

  • Small green chilli chopped 1

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespo to garnish

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add split black grams, curry leaves, asafoetida and onion, mix well and sauté till onion turns golden brown.

Step 2

Add tomato, mix and sauté till it turns pulpy. Add green peas and mix well.

Step 3

Add green chilli, mix and sauté for a minute. Add macaroni pasta and sprinkle little water and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 6-7 minutes. Add salt and mix well and cook for a minute.

Step 4

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
