Ingredients
- 2 large Red carrots , peeled and thickly grated
- 10-12 Dried red chiliies
- ¼ cup + ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- to taste Salt
- 1 large Lemon
Method
- Put red chillies in a grinder jar, add ¼ cup mustard seeds and grind.
- Heat oil in a pan, add ½ tsp mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and asafoetida and saute till the seeds splutter.
- Add carrots and mix well. Add salt and mix. Switch off heat.
- Add 2 tbsps of the ground mixture and mix well. Squeeze juice of ½ lemon and mix.
- Cool and store in a bottle. After a day keep it in the refrigerator. It will keep upto 2 weeks.
- Serve.
