Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 16-20 minutes

Ingredients for Lemony Chicken Bites Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts , cut into 1 inch cubes 250 grams

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Onion powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic Powder 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Dried mixed herbs 1 teaspoon

  • Citric acid 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup

  • Eggs , beaten 2

  • Corn flakes , crushed 1 cup

  • Mustard mayonnaise to serve


Step 1

Take chicken cubes in a bowl, add salt, pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chilli flakes, dried mixed herbs, citric acid and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 3

Take flour on a plate. Take eggs in a bowl. Take cornflakes on another plate.

Step 4

Coat each marinated chicken cube with some flour, dip in beaten egg and coat with cornflakes. Again dip in beaten eggs and coat with cornflakes and keep them on a plate.

Step 5

Slide the chicken cubes into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot with mustard mayonnaise.
