By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Puffed rice (kurmura), Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Kurmura Chiwda 3 cups Puffed rice (kurmura) 3 tablespoons Oil 1/2 cup Raw peanuts with skin 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 2 Green chillies broken 2 sprigs Curry leaves 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Powdered sugar 1/4 cup Roasted chana dal (daalia) Method Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add peanuts and sauté, on medium heat, till golden brown. Add mustard seeds, green chillies and curry leaves, mix and continue to sauté on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Add powdered sugar and roasted chana dal and mix well. Add kurmura, mix well and saute, on low heat, for 5-6 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
