Ingredients 

  • 35-40 Button mushrooms, trimmed
  • 1 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves 
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 3 green cardamoms
  • 34 cloves
  • 1-2 black cardamoms
  • A pinch of mace powder
  • 2/3 cups boiled onion paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 teaspoons coriander-cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 tablespoons cashewnut paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 1 cup yogurt, whisked

Method

  1. Halve mushrooms.
  2. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cinnamon, green cardamoms, cloves, black cardamoms, mace and onion paste, mix and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and ginger pastes, mix and add bay leaf. Add coriander-cumin powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Serve hot.
