Ingredients list for Stuffed Mushrooms

  • 12 large Button mushrooms , stems removed
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 8-10 Garlic cloves
  • 7-8 Pickled jalapenos
  • 3-4 + to garnish Fresh parsley sprigs
  • 100 garnish Processed cheese
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Dried breadcrumbs
  • as required Olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 200° C.
  2. Chop onions, garlic, jalapenos and parsley in a chopper and transfer into a bowl.
  3. Grate cheese into the bowl. Add salt and mix well. Stuff this mixture generously into the mushroom hollows.
  4. Arrange the mushrooms in a non-stick baking tin resting them against the edge of the tin. Sprinkle little dried breadcrumbs and drizzle a little olive oil on each mushroom, keep the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Take the tin out of the oven, arrange the mushrooms on a serving platter, garnish each mushroom with a little parsley and serve hot with a chutney or sauce of your choice.
