By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fish, Coconut Cuisine Kerala Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Kerala Style Fish Thoran 1 kilogram Fish wash and pat dry to taste Coconut 1 tablespoon Lemon juice 2 cups Coconut grated 1/2 kilogram Shallot, thickly sliced 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 2 tablespoons Ginger chopped 5-6 Green chillies crushed 2 sprigs Curry leaves chopped 3 Kokum petals 2 tablespoons Coconut oil Method Combine the fish with salt and lemon juice in bowl. Mix well. Combine coconut, shallots, turmeric powder, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves in another bowl. Mix well. Spread the fishes on a flat non-stick pan. Add salt, kokum and coconut mixture on them. Sprinkle a little water, cover and cook on medium heat till water dries up. Pour coconut oil before serving.
