Ingredients list for Kerala Style Fish Thoran
- 1 kilogram Fish wash and pat dry
- to taste Coconut
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 2 cups Coconut grated
- 1/2 kilogram Shallot, thickly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons Ginger chopped
- 5-6 Green chillies crushed
- 2 sprigs Curry leaves chopped
- 3 Kokum petals
- 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
Method
- Combine the fish with salt and lemon juice in bowl. Mix well.
- Combine coconut, shallots, turmeric powder, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves in another bowl. Mix well.
- Spread the fishes on a flat non-stick pan.
- Add salt, kokum and coconut mixture on them. Sprinkle a little water, cover and cook on medium heat till water dries up.
- Pour coconut oil before serving. Serve hot with steamed rice.
