Ingredients
- 1 green raw banana boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 medium potato, boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon chopped green chilli
- 1 medium onion, chopped + for garnish
- ½ teaspoon red chilli (jalokia) powder
- 1½ tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Add mashed green banana, potato, ginger, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, chaat masala, chilli, onion, red chilli powder and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Mix well. Shape into medium sized round tikkis and set aside. Prepare other tikkis following same procedure.
- Heat refined oil in a non-stick pan, add the tikkis and shallow fry on medium heat till golden brown on both the sides. Remove and drain on an absorbent paper.
- Transfer prepared cutlets in a serving platter.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and garnish with onion rings.
