Ingredients list for Jago Soya Toast
- 1 cup Soyabean soaked for 2-3 hours and pressure cooked for 15 mi
- 5 White Bread Slices
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried mango powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 packet ( Saffola Masala Oats Peppy Tomato
- 2 tablespoons Refined flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds
- for deep-f Oil
- Fresh mint leaves for garnishing
- Minty-fruity salad
- 1/2 Green apple
- 1/2 Red apple
- 1 Orange
- to taste Salt
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 10-12 Fresh mint sprigs
Method
- Combine soya bean, onion, green chilli, salt, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp dried mango powder and ¼ tsp red chilli powder in a food processor. Grind into a coarse mixture and transfer in a bowl.
- Add Saffola Masala Oats Peppy Tomato and mix well. Add little water and mix well.
- Discard edges of bread slices. Spread ground mixture evenly on the bread slices.
- Combine refined flour, salt, remaining red chilli powder, remaining dried mango powder, remaining coriander powder and carom seeds in another bowl. Add little water and mix well into a smooth batter.
- Cut the prepared bread slices into fingers.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Dip fingers in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To make minty-fruity salad, cut green and red apple into small dices. Peel orange and separate into segments and reserve the left over orange.
- Transfer all fruits into a bowl, squeeze the reserved orange juice and add salt, lemon juice and honey and mix well. Chop mint sprigs and add. Mix well.
- Place fried soya toast fingers on a serving plate. Place the salad along, garnish with mint leaves and serve hot.
