Ingredients list for Instant Rava Dhokla
- 1 1/2 cups Semolina (rawa/suji)
- 1/4 cup Green capsicum chopped
- 2 tablespoons Corn kernels
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste
- 1/4 cup Butter
- to taste Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Fruit salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Sesame seeds (til)
- a pinch Asafoetida
Method
- In a bowl mix together, semolina, green capsicum, sweet corn, ginger chilli paste, butter, salt and 2 tablespoons water. Mix well.
- Heat sufficient water in a steamer and just before steaming the batter add fruit salt and two tablespoons water. Mix well.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter in a greased thali and steam for ten to fifteen minutes or till done.Heat the remaining oil in a non stick pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and asafetida.
- Allow the seeds to splutter and pour over the dhoklas.Cut the dhoklas in diagonal pieces and serve hot.
