Ingredients list for Honey Soya Fish With Chilli Pomegranate Salsa
- 2 teaspoons Honey
- 1 teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
- Basa fillets cut into 1½ inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon Crushed red chillies
- 1 cup Fresh pomegranate pearls
- 8-10 Shallot
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 medium bunch Green capsicum
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 cup Onions chopped
- 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
- a few Fresh coriander leaves
- 1 Lemon
Method
- Place the fish in a bowl, add soy sauce, honey, ½ tsp crushed red chillies and mix well. Add shallots and salt and mix and set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Chop green capsicum into small pieces. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan, add the marinated shallots and cover and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the fish pieces and sauté on medium heat. Place the pomegranate pearls in a bowl, add onions, tomatoes and green capsicum. Finely chop coriander and add along with the remaining crushed red chillies.
- Turn the fish pieces in the pan and cook till it is well done on both sides. Squeeze the juice of a lemon and add to the salsa and mix all the ingredients well. Add salt and mix.
- Transfer the fish and shallots onto a serving plate and serve hot with the pomegranate salsa.
