Ingredients list for Honey Garlic Chicken - SK Khazana
- 400 grams Boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2-3 tablespoons Honey
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
- to taste Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
- 1 Medium onion cubed and layers separated
- 1 Medium green capsicum diced
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds roasted
- 1 1/2 cups Chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- to taste White pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon Cornflour slurry
- for garnishing Spring onion greens sliced
Method
- Put chicken pieces in a bowl. Add cornflour, salt and egg and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry chicken pieces till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic, onion, capsicum, chilli flakes and sesame seeds, mix and sauté for a minute.
- Add ½ cup chicken stock and soy sauce, mix and cook for a minute. Add remaining chicken stock, pepper powder and salt, mix and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add fried chicken pieces, cornflour slurry and honey, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
