Ingredients list for Hare Pyaaz Ki Subzi

  • 5 Spring Onions With Greens
  • 4 tablespoons Gram Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2-3 Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup Scraped coconut

Method

  1. Heat mustard oil in a non-stick kadai. Finely chop the spring onion bulbs.
  2. Add asafoetida and mustard seeds to hot oil and when mustard seeds splutter, add onions and sauté till light golden.
  3. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and sauté.
  4. Add green chillies and sauté lightly. Add gram flour and sauté.
  5. Finely chop spring onion greens and add and sauté.
  6. Add coconut and cook for a couple of minutes.
    Serve hot.
